I got married to my husband, Andrew, in July of 2025. We began dating in 2017, when we were both in college. For our wedding I wanted to encapsulate the 8.5 years of memories we had from dating and being engaged. To do this, I went back through all of our photos of different places we had been and activities we had done together. I selected photos that I felt I could capture in a small acrylic painting, and turned these memories into paintings for each one of our wedding guests. I painted these paintings in reverse chronological order, starting with the most recent memories and ending with the oldest. This became a very therapeutic and reflective practice of looking at our relationship before becoming husband and wife. Below is a gallery of all of the paintings, listed by where and when the memory is from.
